Review Of The Wilkinson Sword Tech Iii Disposable Razor

The package says, "Great Shave, Great Value"; but does the Wilkinson Sword Tech III Disposable Razor really give a great shave for a great value?

I'm beginning to feel like Consumer Reports; lately I've been testing almost every item I use to see if it is a great value or not. Today, I have to report that, according to my primitive testing methods, shaving my face, the Wilkinson Sword Tech III disposable razor, is probably not the best disposable on the market.

The Wilkinson Sword Tech III is made in the United States and is another three bladed disposable razor with a

lubricating strip. The package says that it has an ergonomically designed handle that gives you the control you need. I didn't seem to have much control of the final results on my face.

I like to test a razor over a few weeks to give them a fair chance; but I won't be able to test this one that long. In fact I am giving them up after two days. The package says that this Tech III razor is "Sensitive". Well it sure wasn't sensitive to the needs of my face. Let me go back to the start though, so I don't mislead you.

The day before yesterday, I found what I thought was a great deal at WalMart . I purchased eight Wilkinson Sword Tech III razors for $5.47. That is a pretty good buy for triple bladed razors, if they work well. My criteria for evaluating a razor includes not how well it works on the first day; but how will it work in subsequent shaves. My personal belief is that it is not unreasonable to expect at least three good shaves before it dulls markedly.

Yesterday, I was delighted with my first shave with the Tech III. My face did not get chewed up by the

razor and I believe my shave was as close as I have ever had. If you are looking for a truly, "Disposable" razor this might be the one for you. I believe it will give you one nice shave, and then you better throw it away.

What a difference a day makes, this morning I cut myself time after time, after time. I've been shaving for about forty years so I know how to operate a razor. I couldn't even finish my second shave with this razor, I was just getting cut too many times. I don't ever give up this early on a razor; but, I'm scared to use this brand any more. Just for your information, on a scale of one to ten, with ten being the heaviest beard, I am probably about a 7.5.

I cannot give this razor a good recommendation at this point. At best it would rank 1 out of 5 stars. I will now contact their customer service department, if they send me a replacement package, I'll probably update this article. For me, considering the problems I had with the razor, this razor was not such a great value and it certainly was not a great shave. For now, I am off to the hospital to get a pint of blood.

PS It has been over a month now and nobody from customer service ever contacted me. PRETTY sad. You may also want to read:
